Ben joined the team in June of 2021 and was the Senior Risk Placement Specialist for 2.5 years before moving into the Business Risk Consultant position. Ben is a graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Employee Benefits. As the Senior Risk Placement Specialist, Ben helped to lead the department and further develop the processes and procedures to help other Business Risk Consultants coordinate the negotiation and design of the insurance programs for their clients.

As a Business Risk Consultant, Ben’s role is to help his clients find the best solutions to manage their unique risks. Ben is passionate about the relationships he forms and wants to find creative ways to help them approach their risk management strategies. His goal is to make everyone he works with feel important and to help them learn along the way so that they are informed and able to make the decision that is best for their business.

In Ben’s free time you can find him on the lake, on a trail, or on the river. Ben loves to be outdoors in any capacity and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. Ben also plays disc golf and soccer on the weekends!
