Penny joined Granite Insurance in May 2022 accepting the position of Executive Assistant. In 2026 Penny transitioned to Licensing & Education Program Administrator.

Penny is a native of McDowell County but relocated to Lenoir in 2006. She resides in Lenoir with one dog and two miniature donkeys. She has an Associate of Applied Science from Western Piedmont Community College and an Associate of Arts from Isothermal Community College.

Penny has a background in the medical field where she worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist primarily in Blood Bank. The organizational skills she learned there, along with the administrative duties she encountered, led her to embarking on a career change in the Insurance field.

When not at work, Penny stays busy with home projects, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Fun Facts:

• Penny loves watching cooking competitions.

• Penny has been in the delivery room for the birth of two nieces and had a close call with the birth of a nephew who came much quicker than expected.

• Penny has escaped from a burning house.
