Ben Culp is the new Client Executive at Granite Insurance, bringing over 15 years of robust experience in the industry. He joined the team in September 2024. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Risk Management and Insurance in 2007. His career in insurance began shortly afterward in February 2008 with State Farm, where he gained valuable insight under a seasoned agent with over 40 years of experience. In 2009, Ben transitioned to BB&T Insurance (now McGriff Insurance), where he quickly made his mark, earning BB&T’s President’s Club award three years in a row for his outstanding sales achievements. In 2015, Ben was promoted to Senior Account Executive and relocated with his wife from Raleigh to Asheville, North Carolina. Ben dedicated 15 years to McGriff Insurance, building lasting relationships with his clients before joining Granite Insurance. His career journey is a testament to his ambition, perseverance, and commitment to client service.
Ben Culp’s personal life is as rich as his professional one. A Western North Carolina native, Ben was thrilled to return to the Asheville area with his wife, a fellow Asheville native, whom he married a decade ago. Together, they have a growing family, with twins—Jack and Ava-Grace—and their youngest, Liam, who recently celebrated his first birthday.
In his free time, Ben enjoys hiking, camping, swimming in mountain streams, grilling, and sharing live music experiences with his family. He’s also an avid Appalachian State Football fan, faithfully supporting his alma mater.
