Ben joined the team in June 2021 as Granite’s Risk Placement Specialist, where he helped lead the department and develop processes that strengthened the design and placement of insurance programs for clients. After several years in that role, he transitioned to a Business Risk Consultant position, partnering directly with clients to develop customized insurance and risk management strategies. Ben is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Employee Benefits.

Today, Ben has returned to Granite’s Risk Placement Team, where he collaborates with Business Risk Consultants and insurance carriers to design, negotiate, and place insurance programs for clients across a wide range of industries. He enjoys tackling complex insurance challenges and developing creative solutions that balance coverage, cost, and long-term risk management objectives. His goal is to help clients secure insurance programs that are tailored to their unique operations while delivering lasting value.

In Ben’s free time, you can find him on the lake, on a trail, or on the river. He loves being outdoors in just about any capacity and enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. On the weekends, you’ll often find him playing disc golf or soccer.
